"GUGLIELMO MARCONI" the name

"GUGLIELMO MARCONI" was named after the inventor of long distance radio, born in 1874 in Bologna GUGLIELMO MARCONI as been credited as the creator of radio. MARCONI was awarded in 1909 the Nobel Prize for Physics as a recognition for his contribution to wireless telegraphy, MARCONI died in 1937  at Rome. Ships in those days were named with personality and character and they meant something, names were carefully chosen after years of planning, they were symbols of culture and were ambassadors for their countries, they were built to be beautiful, a form of art, today they are built to be functional with careless names.
